Alex Reyner - managing director

Alex Reyner has over 30 years experience in logistics and can boast a vast knowledge of all aspects of the industry. His roles have included Sales and Marketing Director of PLC with a t/o of £120m and Senior Operations manager for an international trailer and ferry business before growing his own parcel delivery franchise from £1.5m to £6.8m. Such roles and the growth of his own business were achieved by having a commitment to customer service.




Alex has received training in and holds qualifications in:

• Sales and marketing
• Health and safety
• Human resources 

Joanne Holt - logistics

Jo works in the logistics department liaising between the customer service team, the drivers and the end customers. This is a complex role but Joanne is up to the task: "I have worked in customer service for over 23 years including companies with Blue Chip customers. I have had different roles from receptionist, sales advisor, payroll and customer service. This experience has given me a wide experience in dealing with people, just what is needed for my role at Avanti."

Barbara Murphy - customer services

Barbara (Babs) left school and worked in banking for nineteen years, first in branch banking for eleven years and then as PA to senior management. She left the bank to have her two boys, who are now at university, and spent the next few years being a part time auxiliary nurse in a hospital and part time in an accounts office. During this time Babs left the UK and moved to live in Austria for eighteen months due to her husband's work.

On return to England Babs started work as a school secretary doing admin and finance and now brings her wide range of skills to Avanti Express, working to support Alex in customer service.
