Like
many well managed
companies one manufacturer of wooden nursery tools was looking to
improve customer service and eliminate unnecessary costs. It was
decided to review their delivery partner for opportunities to move away
from restrictive pallet delivery to a more flexible delivery scheme and
to provide a more attentive service for those customers that don't have
staff to receive large or heavy deliveries. Taking delivery of bulky
items is a particular issue for schools and home deliveries and
customer service is a vital part of the experience of dealing with any
