Avanti has a number of contracts to deliver to networks of locations around the UK, some of these calling for daily drops.

For one contract Avanti is required to deliver printed employment directories to all universities in the UK, Northern Ireland and Eire. The scope of work involves the storage of directories once they have arrived by trailer from an Eastern European printer. Deliveries are organised to 226 universities by routing in geographical order.

Each delivery is made to the careers office on campus which is often located 20 minutes walk from the nearest vehicle access point. The directories are multipack and some of the larger metropolitan universities take as many as 1,500 directories which is 3 pallets worth! The driver is required to work without assistance which therefore makes for a time consuming, labour intensive job.

For another contract Avanti Express are proud to be indirectly serving NHS trusts with a reliable, high quality service. The scope of work involves home deliveries of healthcare/medical products to old age pensioners on a pre-agreed delivery cycle. The vans have to be unmarked due to the sensitivity of the medical product range. This multi drop delivery work each day and requires a patient and understanding attitude at the point of delivery due to the age and immobility of the recipient. In addition 80% of deliveries are in rural areas so a deep geographical knowledge supported by satellite navigation is critical.
