Many of
our customers supply schools and universities so this time of year is
particularly busy as the last items are
delivered before the end of the
summer break and many new orders are fulfilled as teachers and students
return to the classroom and the lecture theatre. Over
recent years Avanti has developed a service that is tailored to the
needs of the education sector with a few of our larger customers
entirely focussed on education and many smaller customers include
education establishments in their customer base. We currently deliver
British made nursery equipment, classroom furniture and playground
equipment to schools and mattresses, bedding, duvets and books to
universities. At this time of year we deliver to schools and
universities daily.
 We
understand how schools work so we offer our customers a free booking-in
facility. Send us your orders via email and let our dedicated booking
team do the rest. We will consolidate your orders into our operations
system then contact the school on your behalf to arrange a suitable
delivery date, giving them a timed delivery avoiding the potential
clash of starting and finish times as children arrive and leave.
Universities
are slightly different to schools with a wide range of campus and city
based layouts requiring experienced
drivers who know the routines and procedures. Delivery
locations are often upstairs, in pedestrian areas or even located
several hundred metres from the nearest parking area. Our dedicated
drivers take the extra time to ensure the consignment reaches the
nominated person on the delivery note, and that all the items are
placed in the correct storage area allocated for that delivery.
Over
and above what many couriers provide we offer the additional benefits
of delivery to a particular room or location of the schools choice,
fully trained two man delivery crew, an en-route call to the school,
removal of packaging and additional options tailored to your and the
school's requirements.

Express deliver British nursery equipment to schools
Like
many well managed companies one manufacturer of wooden nursery tools
was looking to improve customer service and eliminate unnecessary
costs. It was decided to review their delivery partner for
opportunities to move away from restrictive pallet delivery to a more
flexible delivery scheme and to provide a more attentive service for
those customers that don't have staff to receive large or heavy
deliveries. Taking delivery of bulky items is a particular issue for
schools and home deliveries and customer service is a vital part of the
experience of dealing with any company.
This
British manufacturer found Avanti by searching on Google for "two man
delivery courier" and were interested in the fact that Avanti are
perfectly happy to do residential deliveries as well as schools
and businesses. Contact was made with our Alex Reyner and a
trial was arranged . Following the success of the trial, after which
Avanti's service was described as outstanding, a twice weekly service
started and subsequently increased to daily collections during the busy
peak times.
