Stockport rugby club was founded in 1923 and  is a traditional community club providing opportunities for players of all ages and abilities. The first XV has established itself in the North 1 leauge and the club boasts a total of 300 players from "mini" to senior teams.


Avanti Express are proud to be the main team sponsor for the 2009/2010 season. C.E.O Alex Reyner said "we believe that supporting a club that puts the local community first is important". He added "the fact that they are the only club in the country to have a severe learning disability team is a credit to the hard work of all concerned".
